I think it means that if I build a baseball field out there that Shoeless Joe Jackson will get to come back and play ball again. -Ray Kinsella

favorite scene: the scene where Ray goes to find Moonlight Graham and he goes back in time and meets him. I like how Graham tells Ray that if he never got to be a doctor for five minutes, then his life would have been a tragedy. This was Burt Lancaster's final film and I always thought it was such a wonderful tribute to a great actor. But I love the whole movie as well.

favorite scene: close to the end, when Ray says to Shoeless Joe "It was you!" And Shoeless Joe says "No, Ray, it was you. If you build it... he will come". Every scene is magic... is poetry... all of us have dreams and they can come true.

favorite scene: I love so much about this movie but I'd have to say my favorite scene is at the end when Ray asks his father "Is there a heaven?", and his father says "Oh yeah, it's the place dreams come true." Ray looks out over the field, then looks back at Annie and his daughter sitting in the swing on the porch, and turns and looks out over the field again... then he smiles, and says "Maybe this is heaven..." And when Ray says "Hey Dad, you want to have catch?", the tears just start flowing!
